Portland, OR.- A vehicle struck and killed a bicycle rider in the Hazelwood neighborhood of Portland on Wednesday night, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
The incident was reported at around 6:20 p.m. October 29, on Northeast Glisan Street near 113th Avenue.
The bicyclist was struck by the vehicle in the area under unclear circumstances.
Police said the rider was pronounced deceased at the scene despite life-saving efforts performed on them.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Both sides of Glisan Street were shut down in the area for the investigation.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
