Beaumont, CA – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Lamb Canyon Road in Beaumont on Thursday afternoon, according to a report by the Riverside County Fire Department.
At around 4 p.m. January 1, authorities responded to the 16400 block of Lamb Canyon Road near the Lamb Canyon Landfill.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the incident. A secondary collision reportedly occurred near the scene of an original crash, resulting in multiple injuries.
The California Highway Patrol and Riverside County Fire Department personnel rushed to the scene shortly after receiving reports of the incident. The firefighters helped extricate one person who was trapped in one of the vehicles.
One person sustained life-threatening injuries while a second patient had moderate injuries. Five other parties were left with minor injuries. Medics transported the patients to a local hospital for treatment.
Lanes were temporarily shut down for the investigations. The California Highway Patrol is working to determine the cause of the collision.
