Banning, CA – One person was injured in a collision between a vehicle and an e-bike in Banning early Wednesday morning, according to the Riverside County Sherriff’s Department.
Authorities responded shortly after 6:45 a.m. July 13, to the accident on Interstate 10 Freeway near County Line Road.
A vehicle reportedly collided with a person riding an e-bike near the intersection under unclear circumstances.
Deputies and emergency crews responded to the site of the collision and located the injured rider.
According to the report, the rider was transported to a hospital and was said to be in stable condition.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene after the collision. The identities of the driver and the injured victim were not released in the report.
Authorities did not confirm whether alcohol and/or drugs played any role in the incident. There were no reports of any arrests in connection with the crash.
The accident remained under investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
