Semi-Truck Driver Airlifted After Crash on 10 Freeway in Riverside County

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound near Frontage Road.

1 Person Airlifted to Hospital After Crash on 10 Freeway near Cactus City

, CA. – A semi- driver was airlifted to the hospital after a multi-vehicle accident that happened early Wednesday morning near Cactus City in County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway near Frontage Road.

A semi-truck and two cars were involved in the crash. The big rig ended up off the roadway into a ditch and one of the cars overturned on the right shoulder.

Debris from the crash was scattered in the slow lane. Fuel and oil also leaked from one of the vehicles into the No. 2 lane.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.

The driver of the big rig was transported to Chiriaco Summit, from where the patient was airlifted to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

The drivers of the other cars were not injured.

CHP officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
