Bakersfield, CA. – A 25-year-old man died in a collision that happened Sunday afternoon in Bakersfield, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Taft Highway near Sunridge Avenue.
According to CHP, the man was driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck westbound when, for an unknown reason, he allowed the vehicle to travel into the eastbound lane and collide with a car driven by a Taft woman.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman sustained minor injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
