Bakersfield, CA – Coroner’s Office Identifies Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Panorama Drive

According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, Larry Bernard Tombow, 83, of Bakersfield, died following the incident that took place at around 9:18 p.m. July 9, in the 1100 block of Panorama Drive, east of Bucknell Street.

Bakersfield, CA – The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday night in Bakersfield has been identified.

According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, Larry Bernard Tombow, 83, of Bakersfield, died following the incident that took place at around 9:18 p.m. July 9, in the 1100 block of Panorama Drive, east of Bucknell Street.

A report by the Bakersfield Police Department indicates that a woman was traveling westbound on Panorama Drive when she collided with a pedestrian. The victim was reportedly walking outside of a crosswalk when the incident happened.

Police and emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports of the accident.

The pedestrian, now identified as Tombow, was declared deceased at the scene by the emergency responders.

The involved driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative with the authorities.
