Preliminary reports indicate that a semi tractor-trailer was traveling northbound on Interstate 15 when it was rear-ended by another semi tractor-trailer

Baker, CA – One person was injured in a collision between two big rigs on Interstate 15 in Baker early Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities responded at around 6:22 a.m. April 9, to the wreck nearly five miles from the Baker Boulevard exit.
Preliminary reports indicate that a semi tractor-trailer was traveling northbound on Interstate 15 when it was rear-ended by another semi tractor-trailer.
The rear-ended semi lost its engine and came to a rest on the trailer in the traffic lanes.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department crews responded to the scene and attended to the semi driver. The driver was then transported to a hospital for further treatment.
No other injuries were reported in the incident and the involved motorists were not immediately identified.
All northbound lanes of Interstate 15 were shut down for hours as authorities examined and cleared the scene.
