The accident happened at about 10:07 a.m. on eastbound Riverside Freeway east of Adams Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP, a white Honda Accord and 6 other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Authorities say at least one person suffered major injuries in the crash.
All lanes, except two HOV lanes of the highway were blocked due to the crash.
