El Cajon, CA. – Minor injuries were sustained in a multi-vehicle DUI accident that happened Thursday afternoon in El Cajon, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision was reported around 2:49 p.m. on the westbound Interstate 8 near Mollison Avenue.
A black Toyota RAV4 and two other vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles overturned.
A witness said one of the cars was speeding and moving in and out of traffic lanes prior to the accident.
Minor injuries were sustained in the accident.
Authorities said intoxication was a contributing factor but did not mention if anyone was arrested.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
