At Least One Person Dies in Traffic Collision on Northbound Interstate 15 near Winchester Road
Temecula, California (July 14, 2023) – At least one person died in a Thursday evening big rig collision that happened on Interstate 15 in Temecula, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck was reported at around 6:11 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Winchester Road.
Authorities said a car collided with a big rig and got run over by a back tire.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.
At least one person died in the accident, authorities said.
The Nos. 2, 3, and 4 lanes, as well as the eastbound Winchester Road on-ramp to northbound I-5, remained blocked during the investigation and as the scene was being cleared.
