Bakersfield, CA.- At least one person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Bakersfield on Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported shortly before 9 p.m. October 21, on Panama Road at Cottonwood Road.

A Nissan SUV, a Toyota, and a Lexus sedan were involved in the incident.

At least two of the vehicles sustained major damage in the accident and one person was trapped in the wreckage.

After the accident, at least one person was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.

The crash caused the closure of roads near the intersection as authorities worked to clear the scene.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
