At Least 1 Hurt in Chino Truck Crash on 60 Freeway near Mountain Avenue

Chino, California (September 15, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that happened on the 60 Freeway in Chino on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened west of Mountain Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. on September 15.

According to the CHP, a semi-truck hauling 30,000 pounds of frozen food was involved in the collision with four to five other vehicles on the eastbound side of the freeway.

The driver of the big rig was reportedly bleeding following the collision.

The number of those hurt and the extent of their injuries were not specified.

The crash led to a large traffic backup on the eastbound 60 Freeway.

The CHP is handling the investigation.
