Hillsboro, OR.- At least one person was injured in a car accident in Hillsboro early Thursday morning, according to the Hillsboro Fire & Rescue.

The accident was reported on Northeast Bennett Street near Northeast Century Boulevard.

It’s unclear what led up to the accident but a person was trapped in a vehicle after the crash.

The firefighters responded to the scene and extricated the patient.

The party was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both directions of Northeast Bennett Street were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
