Phoenix, AZ.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Phoenix on Wednesday evening, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident took place in the area of 34th Avenue and Maricopa Street at around 6 p.m. February 26.
According to the report, Angelica Pesqueira-Corrales, 41, was hit by a vehicle whose driver left the scene after the accident.
Pesqueira-Corrales was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The suspect driver, identified as Denisse Rodriguez-Cardenas, 36, was arrested on Saturday following the accident.
The incident is under investigation.
