According to CHP, Rivera was driving a vehicle southbound on Highway 99 when he drifted off the roadway and slammed into the guardrail

Bakersfield, CA.- The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the two people who were killed in a traffic accident that occurred in Bakersfield on Friday night.
Alexes Napoleon Perez Rivera, 20, and Samuel Ignacio Hernandez Cervantes, 20, both of Bakersfield, were killed in the crash that happened at about 11:17 p.m. August 8, on Highway 99, north of Union Avenue.
According to CHP, Rivera was driving a vehicle southbound on Highway 99 when he drifted off the roadway and slammed into the guardrail.
The impact of the crash ejected Cervantes, who was one of the three passengers in the vehicle.
Both Rivera and Cervantes were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two other passengers, both female, were taken to Kern Medical with serious injuries.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
