Washington County, OR – The Oregon State Police has identified a driver killed in a Thursday evening crash on 5 Freeway in Washington County as Aleksandr Vasilevich Yevtushok, 57, of Boring.
The accident happened at around 6:44 p.m. on February 6, on Interstate 5 near milepost 288.
A preliminary investigation indicated a gray Toyota Tundra pickup, operated by Yevtushok, was traveling southbound on the freeway when it rear-ended a white Peterbilt semi-truck and trailer, operated by Marcelino Diaz Orozco,55, of Salem.
Yevtushok was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries and later died at the hospital.
Orozco was not injured.
The highway was impacted for approximately three hours during the on-scene investigation.
