A preliminary investigation reveals that a Subaru was traveling west on Interstate 80 when it tried to merge into the left lane and crashed into a Toyota Prius
Alameda County, CA – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 80 in Alameda County late Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place east of the McBryde Avenue off-ramp at about 10:40 p.m. January 14.
A preliminary investigation reveals that a Subaru was traveling west on Interstate 80 when it tried to merge into the left lane and crashed into a Toyota Prius.
Both vehicles spun out of control and the Subaru crashed into the center divider, causing it to roll over. The the Subaru came to a rest on its roof while the Prius stopped after hitting another car.
The California Highway Patrol and emergency personnel responded to the scene and attended to the involved parties.
The driver of the Subaru was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. There were no reports of other injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is working to determine the cause of the accident.
