, CA. – Six people were seriously injured in a collision involving a stolen vehicle early Saturday morning in San Jose.

According to the County Coroner's Office, the accident happened near McKee Road and North Jackson Avenue at around 2:20 a.m.

A silver Infinity that was reported stolen was fleeing the police when it crashed into a Ford Fusion in the area.

Four occupants of the Infinity were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Two occupants of the Ford were transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

The San Jose Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
