45-Year-Old Anderson Man Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Whitemore Road in Shasta County

Shasta County, CA – A 45-year-old male motorcycle rider from Anderson was killed in a Monday crash in Shasta County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported on Whitemore Road on May 5.

Reportedly, a 50-year-old Pamela Sutton resident was driving westbound car when the vehicle drifted into the eastbound lane, colliding with the motorcycle.

 Anderson male rider was pronounced dead at the scene. A 41-year-old female passenger from Palo Cedro sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center in Redding.

Sutton was checked for impairment and phone use, but neither appeared to be a factor in the crash. She reported pain from the collision.

The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
