4 Hospitalized after Boating Accident at Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego
San Diego, California (June 16, 2023) – Four people were hospitalized after being injured in a boating accident at Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego early Friday morning.
The incident was reported at around 1:50 a.m. at the base at 140 Sylvester Road, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
A watercraft is reported to have capsized in unclear circumstances.
Four people were rescued and transported to UCSD Hillcrest.
The conditions of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
