Update: Los Angeles, Calif. – Three people were critically injured and hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of one person in the Florence-Firestone Area of Los Angeles, according to a police report.

The patients were transported to County USC Medical Center

Los Angeles, Calif. – One person was killed in a fiery car crash that occurred in the Florence-Graham area of South Los Angeles on Monday night.

The fatal crash happened around 10:40 p.m. on 82nd  Avenue near Compton Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two vehicles reportedly collided on the highway in unclear circumstances. One of the cars reportedly caught fire after the collision.

CHP says one person was killed in the accident.

The deceased person was not immediately disclosed.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
