2 People Killed in Fresno County Crash Identified

Fresno County, CA – The authorities have identified the two people killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision in Fresno County Wednesday afternoon as 40-year-old Maria Ayers and 58-year-old Serjio Medina Leon

According to the CHP, the deadly accident occurred just after 3:30 pm Monday, March 25 at the intersection of Parlier and Buttonwillow Avenues, just outside of Reedley.

As per the CHP, Ayers was driving a Ford Focus and she drove through a stop sign at the intersection into the path of a Ford F-150 pickup truck pulling a trailer.

Leon, who was a passenger in the Ford Focus, died at the crash scene. Ayers succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital.

No additional details were provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
