2 Killed in Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 99 in Fresno

Fresno, California (September 3, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday morning suspected DUI accident that killed two people in Fresno.

The deadly accident occurred at about 6:00 a.m. on northbound Highway 99 near the McKinley Avenue off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at least two vehicles collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.

As a result of the crash impact, one of the vehicles went down an embankment and struck a tree.

Sadly, two people sustained fatal injuries in the accident.

The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Community Regional Medical Center and was arrested by officers on suspicion of DUI.

Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the mishap.

Fresno, California (September 3, 2022) – One person was killed in a car crash in west central Fresno on Saturday morning.

At around 5 a.m. the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic collision on Highway 99 near McKinley Avenue.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision. Although the events leading up to the accident were yet to be established, the impact of the collision reportedly sent one vehicle off the roadway and down an embankment where it struck a tree.

The other car went through a fence and into a field.

Officials say one person was killed in the accident.

The identity of the deceased person was not disclosed.

More details about the accident were not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
