According to a preliminary investigation, a 21-year-old man was driving a black 2017 Acura ILX 4-door eastbound on Woollomes Avenue when he drifted off the north side of the roadway

Delano, CA.- Two people were killed in a rollover accident in Delano early Thursday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on Woollomes Avenue west of Wallace Road just before 12:28 a.m.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 21-year-old man was driving a black 2017 Acura ILX 4-door eastbound on Woollomes Avenue when he drifted off the north side of the roadway.
The Acura slammed into multiple metal poles and a wooden power pole on the north shoulder.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver and a passenger in the vehicle, a 19-year-old Delano man, were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second passenger, a 19-year-old woman, was transported to Kern Medical for treatment of her injuries.
Both directions of Woollomes Avenue were shut down for almost three hours as authorities examined and cleared the scene.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
