Anton Luis and Velazquez Marlon Killed in Moreno Valley Crash at Calle Agua and Lasselle Street
Moreno Valley, California (June 19, 2023) – Authorities responded to a head-on collision that left two drivers with fatal injuries in Moreno Valley early Monday morning.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the deadly wreck was reported at around 4:33 a.m. at Calle Agua and Lasselle Street.
Per the report, a southbound 2001 Toyota Celica on Lasselle Street traveled at high speed when it hit the center median before crossing the opposite lane.
The Toyota then collided head-on with a 2008 Nissan Maxima.
Paramedics arrived at the site and declared 37-year-old Anton Luis and Velazquez Marlon, 26, Moreno Valley residents, dead at the crash site.
No other occupants were inside the vehicles at the time of the crash.
It was unknown whether drugs and alcohol played a role in the fatal accident.
The wreck closed Lasselle Street for several hours as officers investigated the incident and cleared the scene.
More details regarding the incident were not available.
An investigation into the car accident is ongoing.
