Two people killed in Highway 33 car accident near Highway 198 in Fresno

Fresno, CA. – Two men were killed in a head-on collision on Sunday night in Coalinga.
The double-fatal crash happened around 8:40 a.m. on Highway 33 just south of Highway 198, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
A man was driving a Lexus northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 33 when he collided head-on with an oncoming Honda sedan.
The impact of the crash caused the driver of the Honda to be ejected from the vehicle.
The Lexus reportedly burst into flames after the collision, trapping the driver.
The Lexus driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Honda sedan also died at the scene.
Authorities did not officially release the names of the two men.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
