Orinda, CA. – Two people were injured in a head-on collision that occurred Sunday afternoon in Orinda, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident took place around 4:30 p.m. on southbound San Pablo Dam Road, just south of Old San Pablo Dam Road.
A black sedan and a red pickup truck collided head-on, blocking both directions of traffic.
Sheriff's deputies and firefighters from the Contra Costa County sheriff's and fire departments responded to the scene.
The firefighters treated both drivers at the scene. At least one of them sustained serious injuries. It was not clear if both parties were hospitalized.
Both vehicles were towed away from the crash scene.
