Stanislaus County, CA. – Injuries were reported in a collision that happened near Monterey Park Tract in Ceres at around 6:50 a.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:50 a.m. on northbound Crows Landing Road near El Katrina Lane.

A school bus was partially stopped in the lane with red lights flashing and a stop sign deployed and a car stopped behind it.

A short time later a big rig struck the car, causing it to hit the bus occupied by 17 elementary-aged students.

The drivers of the car and big rig were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
