Placer County, CA – Two people were injured in a collision involving a big rig in Placer County on Monday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place on I-80 west of Soda Springs.

The cab of the big rig was separated from the truck following the collision.
CHP said both motorists had minor injuries.
The westbound side of I-80 was shut down as authorities investigated the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
