Yakima, WA.- A 12-year-old child was struck and injured by a vehicle in Yakima early Monday morning, according to the Yakima Police Department.
The incident took place on South Fair Avenue at East Maple Street at around 6:44 a.m. on October 20.
According to the YPD, the boy was walking across South Fair Avenue in the crosswalk when he was hit by a southbound cab-over work truck.
The boy was transported to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital with a possible head injury.
The southbound lane of South Fair Avenue was blocked as authorities investigated the incident.
The crash is under investigation by the Yakima Police Department.
