Livermore, CA. – One person was injured in a semi-truck collision that happened Wednesday morning on a freeway in Livermore, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 10:44 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 580 just east of the North Flynn Road on-ramp.
A Volkswagen sedan and a semi-truck were involved in the crash. The Volkswagen reportedly caught fire after the impact.
A Good Samaritan helped the driver of the car to get out and move to the right shoulder.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and offered medical aid to one person who sustained minor injuries.
The sedan was towed away with major front-end damage.
CHP officers are investigating the collision.
