1 Killed in Ventura Pedestrian Accident on 101 Freeway near Emma Wood State Beach

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Ventura, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Tuesday evening in Ventura.

According to the CHP Ventura Office, the fatal pedestrian accident happened on 101 Freeway near Emma Wood State Beach.

The victim was standing outside a possibly disabled car when they were struck by a black Ford F-250.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Traffic in the area was reportedly stopped for at least half an hour during the incident.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
