Spring Valley, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in the Spring Valley area of San Diego on Monday night.
The fatal collision happened around 10:53 p.m. on the eastbound State Route 94 near Old Campo Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A pedestrian was walking southbound in the eastbound and was struck by a blue 2016 Audi A4 driven by a 48-year-old man from Lemon Grove.
The 65-year-old male pedestrian died at the accident scene.
The driver of the Audi fled the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
