Motorcyclist killed in fiery crash on Highway 55 near Edinger Avenue in Santa Ana

Santa Ana, CA. – One person was killed in a fiery multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Saturday night in Santa Ana.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, the accident happened around 11:40 p.m. on Highway 55 near Edinger Avenue.
A Honda sedan reportedly crashed into a median in unclear circumstances. A short time later, a crash involving a BMW sedan, a Volkswagen and a motorcycle happened at the scene of the initial collision.
The vehicles burst into flames after the collision.
The motorcyclist believed to be in his 30s and from Westminster, was declared dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
