Palm Desert, CA – A motorist was killed in a multi-vehicle collision Wednesday night in Palm Desert, according to the Palm Desert Sheriff's Station deputies.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department received reports regarding the mishap at around 9:45 p.m. January 8 on Country Club Drive.
Palm Desert Traffic Team investigators concluded that one vehicle appeared to be eastbound in westbound lanes, striking the two other vehicles heading in the opposite direction.
One driver of one of the vehicles was declared dead.
The identity of the deceased was not released.
The Country Club Drive's intersections with El Dorado Drive and Desert Falls Drive were temporarily closed.
The incident remains under investigation.
