Catalina, AZ.- One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision north of Catalina on Saturday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The wreck took place on State Route 77 at Eagle Crest Drive shortly before 8:30 a.m. October 4.
A preliminary investigation found that a vehicle was heading north on SR 77 when the driver failed to stop for a red light and collided with the driver's side of a vehicle turning onto southbound SR 77 from Eagle Crest Drive.
The second vehicle was pushed into a passenger pickup truck.
The driver of the second vehicle, whose name was not immediately released, was killed in the accident.
The driver who caused the crash is facing manslaughter charges.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
