Los Angeles, Calif. – At least one person was killed in a car accident on Tuesday afternoon near South Park in Los Angeles.

The accident happened around 12:02 p.m. on Interstate Highway 110 near Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A white Tesla and a Chevrolet Malibu were involved in the afternoon collision. The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately established.

CHP says one person was killed in the accident.

The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
