1 Killed in Bakersfield Car Accident at Gosford Road and District Boulevard
Bakersfield, California (June 9, 2023) – One person was killed in a car crash that happened at an intersection in Bakersfield on Thursday night.
At around 10:45 p.m., Bakersfield police received reports of a traffic collision at the intersection of Gosford Road and District Boulevard.
Authorities say did not stop at the intersection and collided with a second car at the intersection. After the collision, the man’s car veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The man had to be pulled out of one vehicle after the collision. Officers performed CPR on the victim, but he succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the collision.
