Garberville, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Garberville on Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:59 p.m. on Highway 162 near Poonkinney Road.
A pedestrian was in the southbound lane when they were struck by a 2019 Toyota 4Runner, driven by 20-year-old Sandra Yocselin Acosta Deloera, of Covelo.
The pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
