Anthem, AZ.- One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Anthem on Friday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The wreck occurred on Interstate 17 near Daisy Mountain Drive just before 9 a.m. September 5.
According to the DPS, nearly four vehicles were involved in the crash on the westbound side of I-17.
One of the vehicles involved was a truck pulling a trailer.
One party was rushed to a hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The condition of other involved parties was not specified.
The accident caused the closure of northbound I-17 as authorities cleared the scene.
The cause of the deadly crash is under investigation.
