1 Killed in Clovis Bicycle Accident on Herndon Avenue near Locan Avenue
Fresno, California (May 31, 2023) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a car in Clovis on Wednesday night.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at around 7 p.m. on Herndon Avenue, just east of Locan Avenue.
The man was riding a bicycle westbound on Herndon and was hit from behind by a pickup truck.
The bicyclist, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was killed in the crash.
The pickup truck driver fled the scene but was later arrested at his home, a short distance away.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
