Mesa, AZ.- One person was killed in a crash that took place in Mesa on Tuesday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The accident occurred at around 2:44 a.m. on US 60 at Lindsay Road.
According to the report, a white passenger car was traveling eastbound on US 60 when it rear-ended a tanker trailer that was also heading east.
Shortly after, the car was hit by two other eastbound vehicles.
The driver of the white car was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
One other patient was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The eastbound lanes of US 60 were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
