According to the CHP, a brown Mini Cooper traveling eastbound on the freeway became disabled and was parked along the right shoulder of the freeway

Claremont, CA.– One person was killed in a crash between two vehicles in Claremont on Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on the Foothill (210) Freeway west of Monte Vista Avenue at around 8 a.m. September 6.
According to the CHP, a brown Mini Cooper traveling eastbound on the freeway became disabled and was parked along the right shoulder of the freeway.
A white Ford Focus sedan swerved into the right shoulder and slammed into the rear of the stalled vehicle.
The driver of the Ford was rushed to a hospital with major injuries and was pronounced deceased at 8:25 a.m.
No other injuries were reported.
Two eastbound lanes of the freeway were shut down for nearly one hour as authorities worked at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the collision.
