Warren Fasching Hurt in Morongo Basin Crash on Highway 247 near Mikiska Road

Morongo Basin, CA.- Warren Fasching, 23, of Dewey, Arizona, was flown to a hospital with major injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in the Morongo Basin area on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident took place on near Mikiska Road at about 8:17 a.m. February 3.

According to CHP, Diego Figueroa, 35, of Riverside, was driving a 2021 Ford Bronco westbound on Mikiska Boulevard at an unsafe speed when he failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a 2019 Ford F150 pullig a Toyota 4 Runner north on Old Woman Springs Road.

The vehicles then crashed into a southbound 2007 Winnebago that was driven by Steven Long, 62, of .

Fasching, who was driving the Ford, was flown to Desert Regional Medical Center with major injuries.

The other two drivers were treated for minor injuries.

According to CHP, alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the incident, which remained under investigation.
