Firefighters from the Santa Barbara County and Santa Barbara City Fire departments responded to the scene and located a sedan and an SUV involved in the collision
Goleta, CA.- One person was killed in a car accident on Highway 154 in Goleta on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported at around 6:30 a.m. on the highway west of Paradise Road.
Firefighters from the Santa Barbara County and Santa Barbara City Fire departments responded to the scene and located a sedan and an SUV involved in the collision.
It's unclear what caused the two to crash.
A passenger in the sedan was declared dead at the scene.
The male driver of the sedan was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
The driver of the SUV was treated for minor injuries.
The highway was expected to be shut down for at least two hours as authorities investigated the incident.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
