1 Killed, Another Airlifted after T-Bone Collision in Hesperia

Hesperia, California (November 14, 2022) – A passenger died, and a driver was airlifted to a trauma center after a T-bone collision that occurred Monday afternoon at an intersection in Hesperia, as per a local news source.

The incident took place at about 1:43 p.m. at Bear Valley Road and Locust Avenue.

A gold Buick LeSabre and a silver SUV were involved in the accident.

San Bernardino County Fire Department, Hesperia Police Department, and AMR responded to the scene and found the Buick with major passenger-side damage and the SUV with major front-end damage.

Deadly Crash on Bear Valley Rd and Locust Ave in Hesperia

A female passenger was trapped inside the Buick. The firefighters requested additional support to help extricate the victim. Unfortunately, the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Buick was taken by ground ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital, from where they were to be airlifted to a trauma center.

The driver of the SUV was not hurt.

A witness said the SUV was heading eastbound on Bear Valley when the Buick made a turn against the red light and caused the accident.

Eastbound Bear Valley Road at Cottonwood Avenue remained closed as authorities investigated.
