Sutter County, CA – One person died when a car hit a power pole early Wednesday morning at an intersection in Sutter County, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Authorities said the vehicle struck a power pole at the corner and was totaled.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated the driver, who was the sole occupant inside the car, and pronounced them dead.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
