Los Angeles, CA – A 22-year-old woman was killed and three were injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Van Nuys early Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The fatal collision occurred at around 1:45 a.m. on September 3 at Van Nuys and Burbank boulevards.
According to police, a Honda Civic was eastbound on Burbank Boulevard when, for unknown reasons, it ran through a red light and T-boned a Mercedes-Benz C300 that was heading northbound on Van Nuys Boulevard near a Ralphs parking lot.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 22-year-old woman, died at the scene. Her name has not been released.
The driver of the Honda, a 24-year-old man, and his two male passengers sustained minor to critical injuries. Reports indicate that one of the passengers underwent surgery at the hospital.
Police are still investigating the deadly accident.
