Riverside, Calif. – One person was hospitalized after being injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Sunday morning in Riverside.

The accident was reported around 2:48 a.m. on the southbound 215 Freeway near Box Springs Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The officers who responded to the incident found three vehicles at the accident scene. The circumstances surrounding the collision, however, were not immediately established.

One person was injured in the accident and was taken to an area hospital.

More details about the accident were not released.
