1 Hurt in Semi-Truck Collision on Highway 98 and Highway 7 in Calexico
Calexico, California (May 9, 2023) – At least one person was hurt in a traffic collision involving a semi-truck that happened Monday afternoon at an intersection in Calexico.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred at about 1:36 p.m. on Highway 98 at Highway 7.
A white Toyota Camry collided with a semi-truck ferrying 40,000 pounds of an unknown load under unclear circumstances.
The vehicles were blocking the roadway, and the Camry’s airbags got deployed.
The driver of the Camry sustained minor injuries. Paramedics responded to the scene and helped the victim.
CHP officers are investigating the accident.
